The Sound of Philadelphia

Mit ihrem neuesten Projekt "The Sound of Philadelphia" tauchen David A. Tobin und Thilo Wolf  in die Soul Musik der 70er Jahre ein. Der Philadelphia Sound oder auch Philadelphia/Philly Soul genannt entstand in den späten 60er Jahren des letzten Jahrhunderts aus einer Mischung aus R&B und der "Pop vocal"-Tradition und gilt als der Vorläufer der Disco-Musik. Die Thilo Wolf Big Band liefert komplett neue Arrangements, die den Sound aufleben lassen und doch zeitgemäß sind. Die Vocals zu diesem neuen Projekt steuert der Soul Sänger David A. Tobin begleitet von "The Tobinettes" (Shereen Adam, Leeyah Yawson und Lillemor Spitzer) bei.

Im Programm sind Songs von Barry White, den Jackson Five, The Comminards, Billy Paul und weiteren Soul Größen dieser Zeit.

Songs wie "When Will I See You Again", "My First My Last My Everything" oder "Me & Mrs. Jones" könnten auch ihr Event, Ball oder Gala bereichern.

With their new project "The Sound of Philadelphia" David A. Tobin and  Thilo Wolf immerse themselves in the soul music of the 70ties. The Philadelphia Sound or also known as the Philadelphia/Philly Soul arose in the late 60ties of the last century as a mixture of R&B and the pop vocal tradition. It is the precursor to the disco music. The Thilo Wolf Big Band provides totally new arrangements which revive this sound and is up-to-date at the same time. is the precursor to the disco music. The soul singer David A. Tobin contributes the vocal part to this new project, accompanied by "The Tobinettes (Shereen Adam, Leeyah Yawson und Lillemor Spitzer).

Songs of Barry White, den Jackson Five, The Comminards, Billy Paul and other soul legends of the 70s are part of the program.
